When most places start packing away their bikes for the season, Squamish keeps rolling and that’s exactly what makes it one of the best year-round riding destinations in British Columbia.
Winter riding in Squamish is special. Thanks to our huge variety of terrain and trail styles, there’s almost alwayssomething riding beautifully. Our coastal forests stay open all winter, offering grippy rock slabs, flowy singletrack, and techy descents that hold up even through the wet months. With so many zones at different elevations and none of it dependent on alpine access you can count on finding a great ride no matter what the weather brings.
RideHub is proud to be part of this community that rides 12 months a year. Winter riders are always welcome at our shop muddy bikes included! Stop by our community bike wash right out front to rinse off the muck, and warm up with a hot drink before or after your ride. Whether you’re gearing up for a lap or rolling back into town grinning and soaked, our doors are open.
Looking to sharpen your skills this season? We offer private lessons and guided rides all year round, helping riders of all levels stay confident, safe, and progressing even in the wet and wild months.
If you’re planning your next winter ride, here are a few classic Squamish trails that tend to shine this time of year:
Pseudotsuga – Fast, flowy, and tons of fun in damp conditions.
Half Nelson – A year-round classic with great drainage and predictable traction.
Angry M – A classic which drain very well in the rain.
Leave of Absence – Beautiful in the winter forest and rides well when moist.
Man Boobs – Grippy, playful, and always a crowd favorite.
Winter doesn’t slow us down it just gives us a different way to enjoy the trails we love. So grab your layers, embrace the elements, and keep riding. Squamish isn’t finished biking yet and neither are we.
