Candace

Manitoba Canada

Meet Candace, a mountain bike coach and guide certified through the PMBI association. With a background as a personal trainer and nutritionist, her journey into the world of cycling and fitness ignited at a young age and has only grown stronger over the years. Originally hailing from southern Manitoba, Candace made the bold decision to relocate to Squamish in 2020, drawn by the allure of the mountain lifestyle and the opportunity to cultivate her career in health and fitness.

For over a decade, Candace has been passionately immersed in the realms of health and fitness. However, it wasn’t until she discovered the exhilarating world of mountain biking that her true calling emerged. Transforming her once hobby into a profession, Candace is on a mission to empower others with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in the mountains.

When she’s not shredding trails, signing up for the next enduro race, she can be found sculpting her physique in the gym, bounding through the wilderness on trail runs with her faithful dog Steven, or cold plunging in the river. Candace channels her boundless passion into guiding others towards realizing their fullest potential through movement and exploration of the great outdoors. Book a guide, clinic or join her fitness program at ride hub!

Annie

Annie Roy, a resident of Squamish for over two decades, has been deeply immersed in the world of mountain biking for the past fifteen years. Her journey into coaching began during her time as a gymnastics coach in Montreal, seamlessly blending her passion for biking with her coaching expertise.

Since Ridehub’s inception in 2018, Annie has had the privilege of serving as a coach with great enthusiasm. Proficient in navigating black-level trails, Annie is confident in her ability to coach at this level while exercising discretion when it comes to more advanced trails. Her expertise lies in technical riding, slabs, rolls, and park elements such as jumping and dropping. Annie holds a PMBIA Level 2 Air certification acquired in the Whistler bike park and boasts over twelve years of riding experience.

Annie’s passion for coaching and guiding around Squamish spans all skill levels. Her love for coaching is evident in her dedication to helping riders reach their full potential. For Annie, coaching isn’t just a job; it’s a labor of love. Witnessing a client experience that “wow” moment is what drives her. There’s no feeling quite like knowing she’s made a positive impact on someone’s mountain biking journey.

Guillaume

Nîmes France

Guillaume has been riding mountain bikes for as long as he can remember. He started lapping his grand-parents garden in 1989 on what was barely a road bike with wider tires and a flat bar and never looked back. He’s been riding mountain bikes continuously for over 30 years.

Guillaume has lived through the advent of front, then rear suspensions, V-brakes, hydraulic disk brakes, 3, then 2, then single chainrings. He doesn’t miss the front derailleur!

Avid practitioner, former racer and keen traveller, he’s put his tires on the dirt of four continents, rode with people from all around the world and at every level, from humble beginners to former national downhill champions.

Nowadays he calls Squamish, BC home, where he landed in 2019 after spending his teenager years day-dreaming of, one day, riding those incredible North Shore tracks.

Living in the Mountain bike Mecca, Guillaume started a career shift from office work to mountain bike coaching in 2023. He’s currently holding a PMBIA level 1 certification and Wilderness First aid.

His enthusiasm about riding bikes is contagious, and from the second his pedals start spinning, you can be sure to see a smile on his face. He’ll happily share his secrets to make any rider a better, faster and safer one.

Ferni

Santiago Chile

Ferni’s journey into the world of mountain biking began long before she arrived at Sea to Sky. Back in her homeland of Chile, she felt the thrill of the trails and the rush of adventure early on. However, it was upon discovering the expansive network of trails and the vibrant MTB community in Sea to Sky that her passion truly ignited.

Driven by her desire to share her expertise and love for MTB with others, Ferni pursued certification as a PMBI 1 and 2 air instructor. For her, every day is a fulfilling adventure when she witnesses the progress and joy reflected in the smiles of her friends or those she coaches. Ferni continues to inspire and uplift all those who pedal with her on the trails.
